As a part of their mission ‘Mission Green Village’, All Sanchi (Agar) Growers Association of Assam (ASGAA) organised the first awareness cum seminar programme at Moayimti village, under Mokokchung district, to create awareness among Agarwood (Sanchi) farmers of the region, on March 30.
Addressing the agar farmers of the region, team of ASGAA appreciated the agar growers group for their valuable activities in the area through plantation and assured them to assist all kind of work and to fulfil the spirit of slogan of ASGAA “Grow agar save agar trade agar eco friendly manner’.
Organizing secretary of the association, Bikash Borah stressed the need to create a healthy plantation and harvesting of agarwood in the region in eco friendly manner to raise the income level of the farmers and added that said such types of activities will spread in the region in future.
The chairman and members of ASGAA also attended the programme. To solve different problems faced by farmers a joint Memorandum will be submitted to the concerning authority very soon.
